Single-Vehicle Mishap Injures Spencer Teen

(Spencer)– A Spencer teen was injured Monday in a single-vehicle mishap in Clay county.

The Sheriff’s Office says 17-year-old Kelsey Woller lost control of a 1996 Chevrolet Blazer when hit some ice on the north shoulder of the road as she was traveling in the 1300 block of Highway 18. Authorities say she over-corrected causing the vehicle to go across the road and into the south ditch where it rolled twice, coming to rest on its wheels in a field.

Weller was taken to Spencer Hospital with minor injuries.

The vehicle was totaled.

The mishap took place shortly before 5:00 p.m.
