November 22, 2014

(Spencer)– A single-vehicle crash early Sunday in Clay county resulted in possible injuries to seven juveniles.

The Sheriff’s Office says a 16-year-old juvenile female, who’s name wasn’t released, was driving a 1998 Grand Am in the 3000 block of 160th avenue when she swerved to miss a deer. The vehicle then slid sideways coming to rest in the east ditch.

Possible injuries were reported to seven juvenile occupants in the vehicle. A news release doesn’t say whether any were taken to the hospital.

Three thousand dollars in damage was estimated to the vehicle.

The mishap took place around 12:30 a.m.
