(Orange City)– A single-vehicle crash Wednesday on Highway 60 near Alton resulted in minor injuries to a Sanborn woman.
The Sioux County Sheriff’s Office says 19-year-old Emily Hegstad of Sanborn was southbound when she lost control of a 1998 Pontiac. The vehicle went into the median and struck a ditch.
Hegstad sustained minor injuries but declined immediate treatment.
She was cited for failure to maintain control.
Two thousand dollars in damage was estimated to the vehicle.
The crash took place shortly before 8:00 a.m. about a mile and-a-half south of Alton.
