(Sheldon)– A single vehicle crash Monday north of Sheldon sent an Ocheyedan woman to the hospital.
The O’Brien County Sheriff’s Office says 34-year-old Mariana Garcia was driving a 2008 Pontiac southbound on McKinley Avenue when she dozed off. The vehicle crossed the center line, went into the ditch and struck a driveway before coming to rest.
Garcia sustained minor injuries and was taken by ambulance to the Sheldon hospital.
She was cited for failure to maintain control and failure to use seat belts.
Damage to the vehicle was estimated at $6,000.
