(Spencer)– A Milford man was seriously injured in a single vehicle crash Saturday evening north of Ruthven.
The Clay County Sheriff’s Office says 65-year-old John Newgard was driving a 2000 Ford pickup northbound on 330th Avenue. Deputies say he lost control of the vehicle while rounding a curve at 300th Street. The vehicle left the road and went into the ditch sideways and rolled.
Newgard sustained serious injuries and was taken by ambulance to Spencer Hospital.
An investigation resulted in Newgard being charged with operating while intoxicated…second offense.
The crash took place around 6:45 pm Saturday.
