(Spirit Lake)—The Dickinson County Sheriff’s Office has released details into a single-vehicle crash last Saturday that injured a Milford man.
Deputies say 26-year-old Jacob Gayer was driving a 2001 Chevrolet westbound in the 2900 block of 175th Street when the vehicle left the road and rolled, coming to rest on its wheels in a field. Gayer was trapped in the vehicle and had to be extricated by the Spirit Lake Fire Department. He was then transported to Lakes Regional Healthcare with incapacitating injuries.
Damage to the vehicle was estimated at $10,000.
The crash took place shortly after 7:30 p.m. and remains under investigation.
The Dickinson County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Lakes Regional Healthcare ambulance and paramedics, the Superior Fire Department, the Arnolds Park Police Department and the Spirit Lake Fire Department.
