(Arnolds Park)– There are now some visible signs of progress on the construction of Arnolds Park’s new civic complex. Korry Hansen of Hausemann Construction, the general contractor on the project, says some steel framing for walls has started going up, while footings on other portion of the project are still going in the ground…
“Hoping to get all the footings and foundations in before the frost goes too deep into the ground to avoid any extra cost to the city. Completion date right now is scheduled for December 31st, ’26.”
Hansen says construction will progress from the west, adjacent to Highway 71, to the east…
“We have a library, which is area A, that’s on the west end, so west moving east. You have the library, which will be done first, then you have the city council chambers then you have the police station then you have the fire station all the way to the east.”
Hansen says the project had actually been running a bit ahead of schedule up until earlier this month, when the weather turned cold and snowy. Now, he says they’re about right on schedule and on budget.
