Sibley Resident Pleads Guilty To Tampering With Records

(Sibley)– A Sibley resident has pleaded guilty to a charge of tampering with records…an aggravated misdemeanor.

The charge was filed against Regina Alvarez in connection with an incident back on October 7th of last year in which a social security card was altered in order for Alvarez to receive money from an employer.

As part of the sentence, Alvarez was sentenced to 60 days in prison, with 58 days of that suspended. Alvarez was also placed on informal probation for one year and was ordered to pay a fine of $1,096 along with restitution.
