(Alton)– A Sibley man faces charges after a vehicle he was driving collided with a farm tractor Friday at an intersection about four mile north of Alton.
The Sioux County Sheriff’s Office says 30-year-old Antonio Lopez of Sibley was driving a 2005 Mercury Mariner northbound and 23-year-old Frank Huber of Martin, South Dakota, was driving a 2024 John Deere westbound when the collision occurred.
Huber sustained minor injuries but declined immediate treatment.
Lopez was arrested and booked into jail on charges of operating a motor vehicle with a suspended driver’s license and failure to yield the right-of-way at an uncontrolled intersection.
The Hospers Fire Department and Hospers Ambulance assisted on the scene.
