(Sibley)– A two-vehicle collision Thursday in Sibley sent one person to the hospital.
The Osceola County Sheriff’s Office says 51-year-old Wendy Cloud of Sibley was driving a 1996 Ford Taurus eastbound on Fourth Street approaching Fifth Avenue while 16-year-old Catherine Hansen of Sibley was driving a 2000 Chevrolet Impala southbound on Fifth Avenue. Authorities say the two collided in the intersection.
Cloud was taken to Osceola Community Hospital with incapacitating injuries; no injuries were reported to Hansen.
1,500-dollars in damage was estimated to the vehicle driven by Cloud; damage to the vehicle driven by Hansen was estimated at 2,500-dollars.
Hansen was cited for failure to yield.
The collision took place around 3:20 p.m. Thursday.
The Osceola County Sheriff’s Office was assisted on the scene by the Sibley ambulance.
