Shop Local-Motive Once Again Underway

(Spirit Lake)– When it comes to shopping local this holiday season, the Spirit Lake Chamber is again offering a special incentive. Director Regina Reed says the Shop Local-Motive promotion is currently underway. She says it involves about 40 retailers…

“Everything from gas stations to boutiques, and you go there each week. You get your receipts, you turn your receipts in in groups of four and then your name goes in for drawings. So each one of those businesses who are participating donated a 50 dollar gift card, so we’ll give away those gift cards as well as our major sponsors, Okoboji Motor Company, Hy-Vee, Premier Communications, Northwest Bank, and Wal-Mart all donated so that we can also five away 200 dollars each week and 500 dollars on the last week as a grand prize.”

Reed says the promotion continues another couple of weeks…

“And we’ve done one week of drawings now so you can still get your receipts turned in by this coming Monday at 9:00 am and I’ll do the drawings on that Monday and the following Monday as well and that’s when we’ll also do the selfie challenge drawing and the grand prize.”

Shop Local-Motive concludes a week from this Sunday, December 8th.
