(Sheldon)– A major expansion is in the works for a Sheldon company. Maintainer Corporation announced Monday it will be building an 11,000 square-foot vocational training center and showroom at its north plant campus in Sheldon, along with a nearly 31,000 square-foot addition onto its south plant location. Company officials say it will nearly double existing manufacturing capacity.
Shelley Morris, President of Maintainer Corporation of Iowa, says a surge in demand is behind the expansion. Morris says they plan to hire 60 more people.
Construction on both projects is set to begin this spring with completion slated for later this year.
