(Undated)– Severe weather raked portions of the region Thursday evening uprooting trees, and in atleast one case, damaging a home.
Hardest hit was a small area in western Emmet county, just west and a little north of Wallingford. There was an unconfirmed report of a tornado at a farmstead in that area. A considerable amount of damage was reported to a home, along with downed power lines. No one in the residence was injured.
One inch diameter hail pummeled southeastern O’Brien county, in the Paullina area.
The Iowa Great Lakes escaped the storm system unscathed, other than a few sprinkles.
More thunderstorms are in the forecast through the upcoming weekend, along with the possibility for more severe weather as well.
