(Washington, D.C.)– Several area counties impacted by an ice storm back in January of 2010 will be getting some assistance from the Federal Emergency Management Agency.
U.S. Senator Tom Harkin announced today (Tues.) the agency is making slightly more than 4.1 million dollars available to Iowa to cover the administrative costs of the storms.
Counties in northwest Iowa that will benefit from the assistance include Buena Vista, Cherokee, Clay, Emmet, Palo Alto and Pocahontas.
