Several Area Communities Will Be Getting Free Paint For Various Projects

(Undated)– Several area communities will be getting free paint to help spruce up facilities. It’s made possible by the “Paint Iowa Beautiful” program, a partnership involving Diamond Vogel Paint in Orange City and Keep Iowa Beautiful.

Projects at the Hap Kettleson Center in Everly, the shelter at the city pool in Graettinger, the American Legion in Paullina, a merry-go-round at the city park in Plover, the rehabilitation of the Princess Pocahontas statue in Pocahontas, the historical museum in Pomeroy, a park shelter house in Ringsted, and shelter houses and a storage building in Sibley were awarded free paint.

Andy Frantz, Executive Director of Keep Iowa Beautiful, says 12,750 gallons of paint have been awarded for more than 1,400 community projects across Iowa over the 21 years the program has been in existence.
