Separate Rollovers On I-90 Injure Two People

November 22, 2014

(Worthington, Mn.)– Separate rollovers Sunday on Interstate 90 in Nobles county sent two people to the hospital.

The Minnesota State Patrol says the first took place shortly before 4:00 p.m.

Troopers say 38-year-old Mercedes Kim of Sioux Falls lost control of a 2001 Ford Explorer which was westbound on the ice-covered road. The vehicle went into the median and rolled.

Kim was taken to Sanford Hospital in Worthington where she was treated and released.

Moderate damage was reported to the vehicle.

The other rollover took place a few minutes later–about 4:10 p.m. just a few miles down the road from the first one. Troopers say 24-year-old Geoffrey Little of Brookings, South Dakota lost control of a 1998 Jeep Grand Cherokee on the icy road. The vehicle skidded onto the north shoulder and collided with a four foot high snow bank. It then rolled onto its roof.

Little was taken to Sanford Hospital in Worthington where he was treated and released.

The vehicle was totaled.
