Semi Crash Injures Sanborn Man

(Spencer)– A Sanborn man was injured Monday when a semi he was driving left the road and rolled onto its side.

The Clay County Sheriff’s Office says 39-year-old James Fink of Sanborn was driving a 1990 Freightliner semi tractor and trailer southbound on 140th Avenue when he lost control.

Fink was taken by ambulance to Spencer Hospital with a broken collar bone and minor bruises.

The semi tractor and trailer were both totaled.

The Clay County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by rescue crews from Fostoria and Everly and a Spencer EMT.

The mishap took place around 3:20 p.m.
