(Arnolds Park)—A second specially tagged walleye from the 2013 Iowa Great Lakes Area Chamber of Commerce’s 31st Annual Walleye Weekend has been caught.
Joe Larson of Spencer snagged it June 13th while fishing from a boat on Big Spirit Lake.
Larson, who was registered in the extended contest which continues through September 1st, was presented a check for $1,687.
It was the second tagged walleye caught in less than a month. The other fish was also caught on Big Spirit.
