(Spencer)– Seasons Center for Behavioral Health has been awarded $5,000 from Care Connections of Northern Iowa to expand their internal food bank. A press release from Seasons Center says the funding will help with an increase in demand for the types and quantities of food items available for their clients in Clay, Osceola and Palo Alto counties.
The agency says that from October through December of this year they distributed food to 46 households in the three counties, benefiting 87 individuals.
Sarah Heinrichs-Wurm, Grant Project Administrator for Seasons Center, says they’re grateful for the grant, saying it is playing a major role in helping them meet daily living needs of their clients. She says it will allow them to better focus on their overall physical and mental health.
