(Spencer)– Spencer-based Seasons Center for Behavioral Health has been awarded a grant to create a new self-care space at their main office. The $1,700 grant is through the Lakes Decategorization/Community Partnerships for Protecting Children.
Sarah Heinrichs-Wurm, VP of Program Development and Specialized Services at Seasons Center, says the room will be equipped with grounding tools, coping resources, and furnishings to provide a calming atmosphere for children, parents and staff. She says similar self-care rooms have been established in other Seasons Center locations in northwest Iowa.
