(Spirit Lake)– Seasons Center has been awarded a little more than $2,600 from the Sioux Rivers Mental Health Region to create and furnish “self-care rooms” in the facilities in Spirit Lake and Sheldon. Officials say the special rooms will provide additional supports for Seasons Center staff experiencing emotional exhaustion and compassion fatigue brought on by the pandemic, along with space for individuals and families receiving services. The rooms will include trauma-informed furnishings and décor along with special resources to facilitate a calm, soothing environment.
