(Spencer)– SAD, or Seasonal Affective Disorder, will be the topic of a seminar later this month at Spencer Hospital.
SAD is caused by shorter days, lack of sunlight and colder temperatures that come with winter.
Experts say additional family demands and the holidays are contributing factors as well.
An informational program on Seasonal Affective Disorder will be held Wednesday, February 15th beginning at 6:00 p.m. in the Maple and Oak Conference Rooms on the lower level of Spencer Hospital.
An expert on the topic, Dr. Christine Segreto, will be the keynote speaker.
The seminar is free and open to all interested persons.
More information is available by visiting the hospital’s event calendar at www.spencerhospital.org or by calling the hospital’s Registration Line at (712) 264-6142.
