(Ashton)– The execution of a search warrant on a residence in Ashton landed one person in the Osceola county jail on drug and other charges.
The Osceola County Sheriff’s Office says the search was conducted Tuesday at 424 Fourth Street in Ashton.
Authorities say 21-year-old Melissa Barnett of Ashton was arrested and charged with unlawful possession of signs…a simple misdemeanor; possession of drug paraphernalia…also a simple misdemeanor; possession of a controlled substance…a serious misdemeanor; and prohibited acts…an aggravated misdemeanor.
Barnett was booked into the Osceola county jail on a 3,600-dollar bond.
Authorities say the case remains under investigation.
