(Spirit Lake)– Three men from Texas are in the Dickinson county jail after being arrested and charged with possession of burglar tools.
21-year-old Jacobei Townsend of Humble, Texas, 26-year-old Darius Lewis of Houston, Texas, and 23-year-old Jeremiah Neloms, also of Houston, Texas, were taken into custody Wednesday.
A criminal complaint from the Iowa State Patrol says a trooper pulled over a 2021 Nissan Altima Wednesday on Highway 86 just north of Highway 9, knowing that one of the occupants was wanted on felony warrants. Documents say authorities could smell marijuana as they approached the vehicle. The complaint goes on to say that a search of the vehicle turned up some log chains, a pry bar, lock punch, black ski masks, sets of black clothing and gloves in a duffle bag in the trunk of the vehicle.
Bond for all three was set at $2,500 each.
