Search Of Spencer Apartment Results In Drug Charges Against Two People

(Spencer)– A consent search of a Spencer apartment has landed two men in jail on drug charges.

The Clay County Sheriff’s Office says the arrests took place February 1st when deputies were serving two warrants at an apartment at 1202 McNaughton Way in Spencer. While there, deputies discovered an alleged controlled substance. They were then granted consent by the tenant to search the apartment, which turned up what’s alleged to be marijuana and possible methamphetamine, along with drug paraphernalia.

21-year-old Michael Stricker was arrested and charged with possession of marijuana with intent to deliver…a class “D” felony; possession of a controlled substance…methamphetamine…an aggravated misdemeanor; and possession of drug paraphernalia…a simple misdemeanor.

Stricker was being held pending an appearance before a magistrate.

Deputies also arrested James Cadwell of spencer who was wanted on a warrant for two counts of violating terms of his probation. Bond was set at 10-thousand dollars.

Cadwell was also charged with possession of methamphetamine with intent to deliver…a class “B” felony.
