(Spencer)– The search for a new Fire Chief in Spencer is being extended.
City officials say two of the four top candidates for the position have withdrawn their names from consideration. The city council wanted more than two finalists to consider. As a result, the city’s Human Resources Director says they’ve decided to readvertise the opening with applications due by June 16th.
Plans call for the city council to review four finalists in late June, with the public getting an opportunity to meet the candidates June 29th with final interviews the next day.
