(Spencer)– A Sanborn woman has been hired as the first Tourism Director for the newly founded Clay County Convention and Visitors Bureau. Brittany Getting officially begins her new job July 18th.
Getting, who grew up on a family-owned strawberry farm near Sanborn, has a Bachelors of Arts degree in Business Administration. After college, she became Marketing Director for North American Truck and Trailer, Incorporated based in Sioux Falls.
The office for the Tourism Director will be located on an interim basis at the Spencer Chamber of Commerce. It will relocate to the Clay County Heritage Center once its completed.
In addition to promoting Clay county’s various attractions, Getting’s duties will also include marketing.
