(Sibley)– A rural Sibley man has announced his candidacy for the new Iowa House District 1, which includes Lyon, Osceola and most of Dickinson counties.
Kevin Wolfswinkel will square off in the primary election against Jeff Smith of Okoboji, who’s also running as a Republican in the new district.

Wolfswinkel, who’s married and is a father, has farmed in Osceola county 35 years and has served on the county Farm Bureau board for more than 20 years and has worked with various commodity groups. He also serves on his church board and the Osceola County Republican Central Committee, as well as several other issue-based organizations.
