(Royal)– An investigation into a report of child abuse has landed a Royal man in jail on charges of lascivious acts and indecent contact with a child.
The Clay County Sheriff’s Office says the investigation follows a notification it received from a Department of Human Services worker.
Authorities say the joint investigation resulted in the arrest of 27-year-old Edward Najera, Junior of Royal. He was charged with one count of lascivious acts with a child…a class “C” felony; and two counts of indecent contact with a child…both aggravated misdemeanors.
Najera is accused of having contact with a minor child sometime in 2007.
He’s being held in the Clay county jail on a $10,000 bond.
