Rollovers On I90 Result In Minor Injuries To Two People

(Lakefield, Mn.)– Minor injuries were reported in separate rollovers that occurred within a half hour and 10 miles of each other this (Mon.) morning on Interstate 90 in the Lakefield area.

The first occurred shortly after 10:30 a.m. about two miles east of the Lakefield exit.

Troopers say 24-year-old Benjamin Christensen of Rapid City, South Dakota was driving a 2004 Nissan pickup when he lost control on the ice-covered road. The pickup went into the right ditch and rolled.

Minor injuries were reported to Christensen, but he wasn’t immediately transported to a hospital.

Severe damage was reported to the pickup.

The other took place shortly after 11:00 a.m. about five miles west of the Lakefield exit.

Troopers say 55-year-old John Snow of Spencer was driving a 2001 Ford Explorer when he lost control on the ice-covered road. The vehicle went into the median and rolled.

A minor injury was reported to Snow, who did not seek immediate treatment. No injuries were reported to a passenger in the vehicle.

The vehicle was totaled.
