(Rock Rapids)– A Rock Rapids man has been charged for allegedly stealing diesel fuel from his employer.
The Lyon County Sheriff’s Office says deputies executed a search warrant Wednesday as part of an ongoing investigation into the theft of diesel fuel from Rock Rapids Ready Mix.
The search was conducted at 1388 Harding Avenue in Rock Rapids.
38-year-old Bradford Hindt, an employee of the business, lives at the residence. He was arrested and charged with theft in the third degree…an aggravated misdemeanor.
Hindt is accused of stealing over five thousand dollars in diesel fuel.
If convicted he could face up to two years imprisonment and a fine of atleast five hundred dollars but no more than five thousand.
Hindt was booked into the Lyon county jail and was released after posting a two thousand dollar bond.
