(Spencer)– A local community has been awarded funding for a street project through the Revitalize Iowa’s Sound Economy, or RISE program.
Iowa Department of Transportation Commissioners today (Tues.) awarded up to 422,500-dollars to the city of Spencer for the construction of a new road running from the east end of East Milwaukee Street east and north to the future 17th Avenue East.
City officials say it will allow access to seven new lots totaling over 40 acres in Phase one of the city’s Green Industrial Center.
