Rhythm Of The River Going On This Weekend In Jackson

July 11, 2025

(Jackson, Mn.)– A longstanding musical celebration will be held this weekend in Jackson. Rhythm of the River is going on today (Fri.) and Saturday at Fort Belmont. Kathy Frantzen, one of the even’ts organizers, says it will be taking place rain or shine and will cover all genres of music…

“We have 10 bands on the main stage. We always try to mix up the genres so we have something different all the time. We have everything from blue grass to blues, jazz, country. We have a little bit of electronic something going on and some kind of a cosmic mix in a couple of the bands. It’s a real different lineup and everyone on stage this year will be making their debut, they’ve never been here before. We’re looking forward to that.”

A number of food trucks and art vendors will also be on hand along with something entirely new…

“A new thing we have this year is the Delafield Documentary. It was written and produced by Mark Brodin originally from Windom. The Delafield Lutheran Church was his home church in the country in Delafield Township. It’s the whole story of how the church started, the 125th year celebration, the closing of the church and moving it up to Fort Belmont, which now it’s still being used. They have weddings in there and we use it. We’ll be showing that documentary also this weekend.”
