Representative Of Main Street America To Visit Downtown Spencer Thursday

(Spencer)– A consultant from Main Street America will be in Spencer Thursday to tour the city’s downtown area. Nancy Naeve of Spencer Main Street tells KUOO news Kathy La Plante will be giving an assessment of how the program is working in Spencer…

“So she will meet, you know, with us early on in the morning and she wants to get community leaders, our committee members, our board, elected officials. She has kind of a run down agenda that we’ll be spending different times talking about maybe our partnership could be better with the city, or community leaders. I don’t think so. I think we’ve got a really great partnership. But those are the things that she’s kind of diving into. We’ll take a look at our town as a whole and then I’ll take her on a walking tour of downtown; we’ll have lunch with the Mayor and hopefully Dan can join us, the City Manager; and then at the end of her day she gives us her presentation on what she sees and what we are doing that’s great and maybe some things that we can improve on.”

Naeve says it’s all a part of Spencer Main Street maintaining its accreditation in the program.
