(Spirit Lake)– A 16-year-old faces drug charges stemming from an incident Sunday evening at a Spirit Lake residence.
Spirit Lake police say officers were called to the location shortly after 9:00 p.m. after getting a report of a juvenile that had been smoking marijuana there. A subsequent investigation turned up what’s believed to be marijuana and drug paraphernalia.
The juvenile, who’s name wasn’t released, was charged with possession of a controlled substance…marijuana; and possession of drug paraphernalia.
The teen was transferred to a juvenile detention facility.
The Spirit Lake Police Department was assisted in its investigation by Juvenile Court Services.
