(Arnolds Park)– The colder weather has everyone’s thoughts turning to winter and the upcoming University of Okoboji Winter Games. Blain Andera, CEO and President of the Iowa Great Lakes Area Chamber of Commerce says they’ve started accepting registrations for the various events…
“Anything from the broomball, chili cookoff, snow softball, 5K Fun Run, axe throwing, a lot of the events run through the Chamber of Commerce and a lot of those events are now open for registration.”
Andera says something new is in the works this year for the 45th annual University of Okoboji but he says they can’t divulge just yet what that’s going to be. He says GrapeTree Medical Staffing will once again be the presenting sponsor…
“So appreciative of GrapeTree. They’ve done such a good job sponsoring the Winter Games the last several years and the folks there are just super to work with. We’re certainly excited to have GrapeTree Medical Staffing as the presenting sponsor again this year. We would also like to put a plug in, Steve. All the apparel is ready to go online. I think we’re just waiting for maybe two items yet, but if folks are looking to purchase some Winter Games apparel for the holidays or get it before we run out, now is the time to do so. “All of the information you need is going to be right there. We’ll be updating the schedule as we get that from the different partners and everybody that is associated with Winter Games.“
The 45th Annual University of Okoboji Winter Games will be held January 23rd-26th.
