(Arnolds Park)-The deadline to register for Winter Games activities is coming up next week. KUOO’s Becky Thoreson has details:
The Iowa Great Lakes Area Chamber is reminding those who wish to participate in the various Winter Games activities that the deadline to register is Monday.
Kylie Zankowski, Director of Marketing and Events says, many events are filling up. “Registration for Winter Games is closing pretty soon so we usually close it the week of Winter Games but a lot of those events are filling up. So, try to get registered by Monday the week of Winter Games so that you can join the fun.”
She notes that it’s time to pick up official apparel. “Our last order of apparel is officially in, so we have restocked all of the sizes in the gear that we’ll still have available that weekend. So, if you’re looking for some Winter Games gear that you want to wear Winter Games weekend and all year long, make sure you snag that gear while it’s still available. It sells out really quick that weekend, so make sure you grab it quick. Right now, it’s still available at The Three Sons, The Iowa Great Lakes Area Chamber, Hy-Vee in Spirit Lake and Walmart in Spirit Lake. That weekend we will pull most of it and bring it all to The Pavilion in Arnolds Park Amusement Park, and we’ll have it available for you there all day Saturday.”
University of Okoboji Winter Games will be held January 25-28.
