(Sioux Falls, S.D.)– A red flag warning will be in effect for most of northwest Iowa and southwest Minnesota later today (Wed.) for an extremely high fire danger. The warning will be in effect from 12 Noon until 7:00 this (Wed.) evening.
The National Weather Service says high wind, extremely dry vegetation and low relative humidity will combine to create ideal conditions for wildfires.
The red flag warning includes a number of counties in the region, including Clay and Dickinson.
