(Spencer)– Work on a railroad crossing on Grand Avenue in downtown Spencer will result in a detour next month .
The Iowa Department of Transportation says traffic will be detoured onto Clay County Roads B-19 and M-50 while the work is going on May 16th through the 24th.
Officials say businesses near the crossing will still be accessible but signage will be in place and motorists will need to use extra caution.
