(Estherville)– We’re learning a second person has died in this year’s RAGBRAI event.
The Iowa State Patrol confirms a rider died in Estherville Tuesday. Estherville Emergency Medical Service personnel say they responded around 7:00 am after getting a report of an unconscious rider. That person was taken by ambulance to a local hospital where they later died. The name of that person hasn’t been released. An autopsy is being conducted by the State Medical Examiner to determine an exact cause of death.
As we reported previously, a man from Texas died Monday as RAGBRAI was making its way through southern Jackson county, Minnesota. 54-year-old Kelly Paul was taken by ambulance to Lakes Regional Healthcare where he later died.
