(Spirit Lake)– Officials with Jarden Corporation, parent company of Pure Fishing, have announced plans to move Pure Fishing’s distribution operations from its manufacturing facility in Spirit Lake to a warehouse in Kansas City.
The company plans to make the transition in the second half of this year.
Company officials say the move will affect about 36 co-workers in Spirit Lake, or about 10 percent of its workforce here. They say the positions will likely be absorbed in the manufacturing operations here, which they say are continuing to grow.
Pure Fishing’s warehouse operations were moved to Kansas City and its headquarters staff was moved to Columbia, South Carolina shortly after being acquired by Jarden.
