Public Asked To Give Input On Plans To Rennovate A Spirit Lake Park

November 22, 2014

(Spirit Lake)– The city of Spirit Lake and its Parks and Recreation Board is asking for citizen input on possible improvements to Memorial Park.

The city has hired the architectural firm of Cannon Moss Bryger and Associates to assess needs and to assist the city in putting together a plan to renovate and improve the park and its amenities.

As part of the process, the city has scheduled two opportunities for the public to give input. The first is scheduled for Noon Monday, May 4th. The other is set for Wednesday, May 6th at 7:00 p.m. Both sessions will be held in the council chambers at Spirit Lake city hall.

Those who would like to give input but not able to attend one of those sessions may fill out a quesionnaire that can be printed out at the city’s website, www.cityofspiritlake.org. It can be filled out anonymously and dropped off or mailed to city hall.

City officials say the input will be incorporated into a final report that will be used in seeking grant funds for the project.
