(Spencer)—Possible injuries were reported in a single-vehicle crash Monday evening in Clay county.
The Sheriff’s Office says 24-year-old Emily Brown of Linn Grove was driving a 1999 Chevrolet southbound on 170th Avenue when she dropped something, causing her to lose control. Deputies say Brown then over-corrected, causing the vehicle to slide across the north lane. It hit the east shoulder, went into the ditch and rolled once coming rest on its wheels facing northeast in a field.
While possible injuries were reported, Brown apparently didn’t seek immediate treatment.
$5,000 in damage was estimated to the vehicle.
Brown was cited for failure to maintain control.
The crash took place shortly before 9:00 p.m.
