Possible Injuries Reported In Intersection Collision

November 22, 2014

(Sibley)– Possible injuries were reported in a two-vehicle collision last Saturday in Sibley.

The Osceola County Sheriff’s Office says 44-year-old Connie Ten Napel of Sibley was driving a 2010 Ford eastbound on 3rd Street and was approaching 4th Avenue, while 41-year-old Rebecca Lyon of Ocheyedan was driving a 2009 Mazda southbound on 4th Avenue. Authorities say the two collided in the intersection.

Lyon sustained possible injuries but refused medical attention on the scene. No injuries were reported to Ten Napel.

About $6,500 in damage was estimated to Ten Napel’s vehicle; Lyon’s vehicle sustained an estimated $5,000 in damage.

Lyon was cited for failure to yield to the vehicle on the right.
