Spirit Lake –
Polaris Industries Inc. has announced a joint venture with Eicher Motors Limited.
The large manufacturers plan some 50 million dollars in investments and expansion of facilities over the next 3 years. Polaris is considering a 25 million dollar expansion of its Spirit Lake facility, which could add a 40,000 square foot second story to the existing plant. The project could create nearly 80 new jobs in the Iowa Great Lakes.
The Iowa Economic Development Authority Board on Friday awarded $395,000 in financial assistance to Polaris, as well as 1.5 million dollars in tax credits for the expansion.
