Plane Crash Investigation Continues

November 22, 2014

(Sanborn)– An investigation continues into that plane crash last Tuesday in O’Brien county that claimed the lives of all three Wisconsin men on board.

Investigators with the National Transportation Safety Board have now moved the wreckage from the crash site to a secured storage facility.

They say an initial report of their findings may be released later this week, but that it could take several months before a final report is released.

Investigators announced Wednesday the pilot apparently tried to land the plane in a corn field before it crashed.

Strong thunderstorms were in the area at the time, but investigators haven’t said if weather was a factor.
