(Emmetsburg)– A single-vehicle rollover Thursday in Palo Alto county sent one person to the hospital.
The Palo Alto County Sheriff’s Office says Janice Fox of Gruver was driving a 2000 Ford Ranger southbound on a county road northeast of Emmetsburg when she lost control. The vehicle went into the east ditch. Authorities say Fox then over-corrected, causing the vehicle to roll several times before coming to rest on its wheels in the middle of the road.
Fox was taken by ambulance to Palo Alto County Hospital in Emmetsburg and was transferred to a Mason City Hospital. There was no immediate word on her condition or extent of injuries.
The pickup was totaled.
The crash took place shortly before noon.
The Palo Alto County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Emmetsburg ambulance, the Kossuth County Sheriff’s Office, the Iowa Department of Transportation, Iowa Department of Natural Resources, and the Iowa State Patrol.
