(Milford)– A collision Saturday evening involving a pickup and a motorcycle at the intersection of an access road and Highways 71 and 86 on the north side of Milford sent one person to the hospital.
The Milford Police Department says 64-year-old Dennis Hahn of Spencer was driving a 2012 Harley Davidson motorcycle westbound when the traffic light turned green. Police say he became blinded by a glare from the sun and collided with a 2000 Chevrolet S10 pickup driven by 26-year-old Glenn Arends of Spirit Lake who was eastbound and was attempting to turn to go north.
Hahn was taken by ambulance to Lakes Regional Healthcare with possible injuries. No injuries were reported to Arends.
$2,000 in damage was estimate to the motorcycle driven by Hahn; damage to the pickup driven by Arends was estimated at $250.
The collision took place shortly before 7:30 p.m. Saturday.
