(Arnolds Park)-It’s Art in the Park this weekend. KUOO’s Becky Thoreson has details:
Pearson Lakes Art Center presents the annual Art in the Park on Saturday, August 6.
Visual Arts Director Danielle Clouse Gast says, a wide variety of media will be shown. “It features over 70 artists, so it’s more than a show, it’s actually a sale, as well. So, everything from like jewelry, pottery, paintings, we have a lot of wood working, fiber art and photography. You get a chance to talk with the artists that made the pieces, and what’s exciting too, is that, it’s a show that features a variety of price points. So, not only is it a lot of media, but there’s everything from lower priced items all the way to higher priced items, which makes for a really unique and diverse show.”
She notes that the event includes activities for kids. “We’ll have our Info Booth there that day so you can learn more about what we do at the Art Center, but we also have kid’s activities, and those are come and go throughout the day, and you can stop by the Art Center Booth and see what we have to keep the kids busy while you shop.”
Art in the Park will run from 9-4 on Saturday at Preservation Plaza in Arnolds Park.
