(Okoboji) The Pearson Lakes Art Center has some fun things going on in their Culinary Arts department. Culinary Director Jean Quinn talks about an event happening yet this month.
“We have Chef Jacques Bouli and he and his wife Brigitte own the French Bakery Four De Marie and they have opened a new little place in Okoboji near Arnolds Park. We actually have them at the arts center. This is their second french pastry demonstration and they have a slide show, they talk about their travels, they talk about his interesting background as a monk and a monastery for several years. He has a mother who is an accomplished chef and he just fell in love with pastries.”
In August there is a Paint, Sip and Savor event on the 14th from noon to 4, on August 21st there will be a Mediterranean Dinner with Chef Jay Norton of The Hen House, and on August 28th a Taste of New Orleans. Go to lakesart.org to sign up and see the full schedule.
